Who Says Friday the 13Th is Unlucky?

Our new boss had me called to her office last Friday, 13th. I was a bit apprehensive because I thought I have done something wrong.
She gave me a small paper to read and there it says words of appreciation for my good works and dedication to the company since she promoted me to head the Procurement Dept. last May 28th, with no raise of salary.
In addition, it says that on the next cut off I will have an increase of an amount It was a big increase! I was so surprised and happy!
I held the hand of my boss, thanked her and told her she is so kind . She said smilingly that I deserve it.
Then, she told me to call one of my staff before I left. I know he will be surprised and happy too.
Now, who says that Friday the 13th is unlucky? Do you think so too?
As for me, I always think of it as a lucky day, as I have proven it always when that day comes.

Thank you. 
I was happy for the increase but happier because of the words of appreciation for my job. This Department was formerly being bad mouth for the so much delayed deliveries of requests for materials and office supplies.
I have to expedite pending requests still under the former head with the help of the two staff. It turned out, he just leave everything to the two of them.

@toniganzon That's good that it doesn't affect you at all. Me, I like it when it's Friday the 13th. It is always a happy day for me, maybe because I think of it in a positive day.

That is so true. That is why I contradict the belief of the old people that Friday the 13th is unlucky.
I always believe its lucky so that's why Friday the 13th indeed always brings me luck in whatever aspect of my life.

Actually, she told the Management Committee body when I was absent, that my team has done a very good job in expediting things at Procurement Dept. that was formerly being besieged with complaints about the so much delay of requests to be served.

Thank you. I didn't expect it really. It only means she's very influential to the wife of the owner who is the Chief Finance Officer of the Grp of Companies we are affiliated with.
My former boss, of whom I was the Exec. Asst. was close to the owner. But we never had a raise as big as this.
It goes to say, that the wife really always gets the final say. Even with the design of the renovation of the mall, it's her design done by her chosen architect that ruled over her husband's design by his architect.

Honestly ..with today's experience, I must say it is unlucky. It was on Friday 13th that I had informed the agent to inform the company about dad's medication. Just hoping everything works out fine for me to change the opinion once more.

no day is unlucky or lucky but everything is you because your work gives you rasing in salary so whatever day it is you have good news. people too much believe on day and time and etc but if they trust on their work then every day is a lucky day.
