Yeah.. Past stories that can ruin relationships must remain unshared.

It depends on the secret. If it doesn't concerned him and he will only worry then I better not. It is still depending on the matter if it needs to be told to hubby.

I agree. Here secrets are a bit disturbing to the friend.

I would be telling a lie if I say yes! I know it is impossible for any one to share everything with one's spouse! There are always some or other moments in one's life which one never wants to share with any one! I think it ia very natural! There is no point in spoiling the lives in the nae of sharing sectrets with spouse! Skeletons are good when they remain buried only! Thanks!

@anamika161088 , Then I would like to use the term 'Cheating' instead of keeping a secret!

I agree. Past secrets are better to be secrets. But doing things in present which you know is not acceptable at all by spouse and then hiding it, and when the spouse smells something wrong going on then you try to hide it by saying lies would only make the situation worse I guess.

@AKRao24 Yes. He was being secretive because he know that he is cheating and this would never be accepted..

I don't think it is a wise thing to do. Can you think of a good reason fro keeping secrets?

I think it's fine to be secretive if it has nothing to do with others. But if it's affecting others life badly then you must not do things which you need to keep secret.

Exactly. It increases the suspicion and makes the person skeptical

There are things that I have always kept only to myself but it hasn't harmed anybody. Everybody has a secret and it should be respected. But if that secret is something that affects others, then it's a harmful one.

I totally agree with you.. Privacy must be respected but to an extent which is not harming others.

Sometimes honesty hurts the relationship. It may be hard but before doing something, we try to fast forward and if it makes us liars to our spouse, its better not to do that something. At the end of the day, you will still the honest spouse.

True.. And it's always better to say everything in front of your spouse before someone other comes and narrate the story. In latter case, situation becomes more worse..
