The Dodgers are in hot pursuit as are the Indians. The Yanks are refusing to trade anything good. Machado has stated he will play third only short so what do the Yanks do with Gregorious and Indians with Lindor and Red Sox with Bogarts? The Dodgers have the position available. The D-Backs want him bad but have little to trade. The Brewers want him.

I think Boston wants him only to ensure that he stays out of New York. However, I think that Machado is going to sign with the Yanks in free agency anyway. Probably the only other team that could afford him is the Dodgers or maybe Washington signs him to replace Harper.

@legendmaker54 The Dodgers don't need Machado long term as Seager returns to SS next season and Turner plays 3rd. If Machado refuses to play 3rd, what happens to Didi Gregorious?

@JohnRoberts I mean, the Warriors didn't need Boogie Cousins, but you don't pass up talent when it's available. As it relates to New York, it could be another A-Rod/Jeter situation where someone moves because they both want to play on a great team. I can't imagine Machado wouldn't switch if push comes to shove if it means making $35-$40 million a season.
