To love or being loved

My mom always said, better find a man that loves you than you love him. Sometimes, if we like someone, he/she didnt like us, or maybe we dont have a courage to tell our feeling and let it be one sided love until we forget him/her In the other side, if someone we just know and he/she have interest in us, even we dont feel comfort around him/her or our conversation didnt match each other.how is that? Share me your opinion^^

Better to be loved than to love someone who is not necessarily in love with us. If we are being loved then we can automatically love that person wholeheartedly.

That's the advice the moms usually give to their daughters. She wants someone who will love and take care of you. Your mom is right, choose someone who loves you so much but only you are ready to give back that love to him. If you know to yourself you can't see yourself being together with that man in the future, you must be fair too because he deserves to find the happiness that he will never find in you. But I believe that you will learn to love someone when his love for you is real. For me, don't choose your partner because of your passion for him. Choose him because you see him as a suitable and good person that you can see yourself waking up with every morning.
