Things I have learned from middle school to now

I am not proud of my middle school years, but I am glad that I have gone through them. I've had to learn a lot of things the hard way, but I think those things I've learned helped me to be who I am now, and I love me. I've never been more confident in myself, so I want to share the top ten things that have always gotten me through life.
1.) You have to trust in Jesus
~ During middle school, I always wanted to grow up faster and be more than I ever could be. I learned the hard way that I am still a kid and that I have to wait for what the Lord wants for me, not what I want for me. In the end, the Lord has never failed me
2.) You don't know how hard something is until you've done it.
~ I've always wanted to be an artist, writer, and dancer, but it's way harder to be those things than you think. You have to practice a lot to get better before you can actually do them. For art, I am still struggling with shading. For writing, I am still struggling with actually writing, For dance, I am still struggling to learn my dance style. Even though I am not the best at these things, I have improved from when I first started and I think that;s the most important part.
3.) Don't apologize for having an opinion.
~You apologize when you're rude about it.
4.) Not all your friends need to be "forever-friends"
~ Some friends are just there for that moment and that's okay.
5.) People are allowed to leave you
~ and want nothing to do with you. You can't force someone to stay with you. If they don't want to stay with you, why are you even staying with them?
6.) Drinking enough water really does help
~ You know all those posts that say that drinking water will give you clear skin. Yeah, they're not lying. Drinking enough water helps with so many things.
7.) You don't always have to do something, you can just be
~ You are a human being, not a human doing.
8.) You are free to do whatever you want as long as it doesn't hurt anyone.
~ you are free to be gay, get an abortion, and do whatever. You're just not free from the consequences that come with your actions.
9.) What's the point of dating someone if you don't intend on spending your life with them?
~ This is more of an opinion. I don't about yall, but I don't got time for people wasting my time. If you looking for a short-term relationship then we are not match.
10.) Love Yourself
~ I know this sounds cliche, but loving yourself is the first step in anything. How do you expect to love someone else when you can't love yourself? You can't give what you don't have. How do you expect to have confidence if you don't even love who you are? You are a masterpiece.
What are some of the things that you've learned that help you through life?
