Yesterday I noticed a flock of mynahs were quarreling. The sound they created got my attention and on watching I find out they are on a serious fight. I was wondering the reason for their quarrel. They were on road side and on ground. On walking far away from them I could hear the loud noise of them.
What may be the reason for their provocation to each other?

@Sreekala There must be some reason.May be grains or insects....there must be some issue.I have seen fighting crows and perhaps many times.

@Shivram59 I know but I spared birds from these fights. My lack of knowledge.

Interesting question. It could be for a number of reasons. Birds are like people are the quarrel about they same types of things people do.

small brown birds visit us several times a day. we call them maya. sometimes they fight over the rice from the dog's bowl. but sometimes i've seen two rolling on the ground, fighting, but just for a few seconds then they fly away.

Must be mating season or male birds fighting for the female? I don't know but as long they are doing it in the sky and not in our house

Sometimes they quarrel when they are looking for their mates; they could be both males competing for a female one.
