In capital of India 3 minor girls reportedly died of starvation. The whole media with their stomach full of tandoori chicken started thrashing Politicians and Politicians in turn show cased their anger for each other on this burning issue. We too were shocked and angry when we heard the news on Prime time during our sumptuous dinner -‘See this is the government which talk of bullet train and the children are dying of starvation’,we lamented . Then everything returned to normalcy, we are guilt free because system is guilty. It happened to them because they are different, they definitely deserve sympathy and some more welfare schemes; this will not happen to us. We look at them on TV and when some time see them in street, either do not notice them or if consider ourselves intellectual, ask pensively –who are they? What government and NGOs are doing for them? Let me ask, Is politician and government alone responsible for such a sordid condition ?Are we as a citizen free from guilt for such a sordid condition. What we can do as a common citizen for them ? personally I have decided that where ever, whenever i spot a malnourished child I will take him/her to nearby food stall and pay the bill. I do not have to look up to the government to feed a dying child. The humanity ,i think ,is not such responsibility that I simply delegate it to the government, and sleep. For rest I can depend upon the government ,what you say ? What you as an individual can do to ensure that no child in the world would ever die of hunger ?

Unfortunately this is not just a problem in India. It happens here in the States all the time as well. Would be nice if globally there was more that could be enforced to be done.

I am sorry to see any children suffer like this. Even here in the US there are families that are struggling and can't get help because the state thinks the families make too much. they need to seriously restructure their system and gie these people the food they need for these children

We are all responsible because we would be helping before the government gets there.
