Right after arrival we proceeded to my sister’s place ar Haverstraw, New York. It was a small county very peaceful and quiet place. After setting down an resting we started exploring the surrounding. The freezing temperatures prevented us from staying outside very long.
The next day we started our first tourist destination. The West Point military academy. We visited a museum there where we saw the military history of America as well as the history of military of other countries. Just as we arrived there the snow came on and they call it flurries. It was nice to finally see and touch it for the first time. Museum was quite comprehensive and there was even a small theater where they try to convince people to join the military.
It took us about a couple of hours to roam around digest everything that is in that museum it was bit hard to really read and understand and had lots of items displayed from swords to the bombs that were used in the different eras.
After that short trip, we decided to go for a long trip “Niagara Falls”. I’ll tell it on my next post....

Yes it was a very nice museum they have in there. I even saw an old wooden rifle which says it came from Laguna, Philippines. It says that the weapon was taken from the revolutionary that fought against the Americans during the PhilAm war. The Museum has all sorts of items that relates to history on wars all over the world. This was one of the first museums I visited here.

Nice to see you over there, I'm just happy that you are having a good vacation in the US.
I hope you don't get bullied there or something.

I've never been to West Point, but I took my mom to Niagara Falls. Can't wait to see your next post about that!
The museum sounds very interesting. We have a museum devoted to General George S. Patton nearby, but that is just one person, compared to all of the major figures throughout Army history!
