It didn't work out like I'd hoped...

After I went to pick up my medication at the pharmacy today, I called a Lyft to take me over to work. I recognized the driver they were sending on my Lyft app, as I'd had her before. She invited me to sit in the passenger's seat, and we talked, but when I got to work and wanted to get out and go in to work on my cross stitch before my shift started, she kept talking: even though I said, "Well, I'd better let you go" twice. When I finally got in to work, I did get to do a bit of stitching, anyway, just not as much as I had hoped. Oh, well--I'll be working on it tonight, anyway. Work went well, and I found out that they need me to go in at eight a.m. tomorrow. My boss's mom offered to pick me up, so I wasn't going to complain about that. Every little extra bit of work helps the paycheck grow a little. Tomorrow is Wednesday, and the first day of August. My oldest nephew will turn thirteen toward the end of next month. Still can't believe that. Right now, since I've fed Angel, I need to go and feed myself, and then pay some bills, finish unloading the dishwasher, and do bible study and things. So, I'll be off for now, and I hope that you all have had a great day/evening/etc. in your part of myLot land so far !

The Lyft driver must enjoy your company. I would have expected her to be off in search of her next rider. Glad to see work is going well for you. I hope you have a blessed Wednesday.

Thank you, I guess she did. Guess that was better than her kicking me out asap. Hope that your Wednesday is a blessed one, too.

The driver must have had a lot to say and no one to say it to. I think she found a good listener in you. You'll ge4t that cross stitch piece done later.
