Do You Like Crime Novels/Dramas

Whether you're a bookworm, a TV fan, or a little of both, I'm curious how many people here enjoy reading crime novels or watching crime dramas, whether based on reality or not.
Some of my favorite TV shows, past and present, are Forensic Files, Criminal Minds, Eye Detective, Body of Evidence, Law and Order, especially SVU, unsolved mysteries, America's Most Wanted, and a variety of others.
I'm not much of a bookworm, more of a writer, so I haven't really read crime novels, but based on all of the forensic and investigative knowledge I've gotten from TV shows and internet research, I have several ideas I have been told are really good for crime novels I want to write. I won't give up too much this early on, but I am working on one now that is about a serial killer, a very illusive one, for a while anyway.
So how many of you are into crime series or books? What are some of your favorites and why?

I used to be into the crime shows but not so much anymore. I like a good crime novel every now and then. I have plenty of them sitting around waiting to be read.
Right now I am reading Low Pressure By Sandra Brown
It's about a woman who has written a novel based on her sister's murder 18 years prior. She wrote the novel under a psuedonym but her real name came to light and now someone is trying to harm her. It's pretty good so far.

That sounds interesting. I'm not much into reading as I said, more into writing, but there are a few exceptions. Maybe I'll check that one out.

@mommyzhuuraan I like it, but I'm not going to lie, it seems like it might drag out a little in some parts. I still think it's worth a look. I bought my copy for $2.00 at a local second hand shop, but I'm sure you can find it online for a decent price.

Both. I watch mystery and crime series like CSI, Criminal Minds, L&O etc. I read Agatha Christie etc.

Cool. I've never read Agatha Christie myself, but maybe I will. I'm picky about what books I get into, but every once in a while an author will grab my attention.

I haven't seen all of those, but I know my mom's a big fan of Bones. I used to watch it with her from time to time. It wasn't my favorite though.

Sounds like a good lineup. There's definitely a lot of people that are into those types of shows and stuff or they wouldn't keep making them.

I like science fiction shows too, but definitely the best ones are the ones where the characters really come to life, where you almost forget they're fictional and even connect with them in some ways, either being able to relate to their situations or whatever. It's kind of cool when they come alive that much.
