Sometimes in my life I did not have a high self esteem and my emotions were always dark. My days were always unhappy and my life all confusing and mostly I was unsuccessful. I could hold onto anything that made me feel better but it all didn't last for long.Then I decided that I needed to keep myself busy to avoid being idle and doing alot of thinking. I tried many things; movies, always hanging out with friends, books, music............ Every time I read a book I felt like it didn't give me the quick solutions I needed but then I decided to be patient and follow what made sense to me. It was slow but after almost a year I can say I found peace with myself. Reading become my a hobby to me and the source of guidance in my life. What are the things you started doing with low expectations but it turned out better than you thought?

I agree with you that reading can be a form of therapy. By reading a book of your interest. It is like traveling to one dimension to another. It is like dreaming with excitement. I just love reading.

Good for you that you found something you enjoy doing and makes you feel happy. I think that is what our purpose are in life. I think that the best why to find it is by being busy and exploring new things that you have not experience at all. From them that you will find your true calling.
