Sharing is good and healthy but not a comforter

Partners doing things together such as holidaying shopping, eating, watching tv, going for movies...........the works is indeed great. But for me Ihave always opted for a separate sheet to cover myself and sometimes wonder how a single sheet or comforter when shared will it not pose problems? The tossing and turning will disturb both.

If one of us gets too hot we just push the comforter back on our side. It seems to work for us.

@allknowing If I'm awake and I feel Vince start to turn over, I grab a big handful of blanket and hang on. Sometimes he pulls the blankets with him but never right off me.

We both do not toss and turn and we do the same as @JudyEv. The one who always feels cold is my husband.

What difference would it be if you two had separate covers?

@allknowing In summer he can have the entire cover. In winter I grab the corner of the blanket and I hang on.

I like being under the same sheets with someone I love when sleeping. I don't mind the tossing and turning at all.

@allknowing Sometimes but the person I sleep with don't move a lot. And I'm not that sensitive. I like being hugged and I like the warmth of the body next to mine.

We start with one comforter and sometimes it is fine till morning. But there are days, I bend down in middle of night to pull a separate one for myself from my bed's drawer.

Bangalore is a place I am sure you will need more but if either of you have the habit of doing trapeze acts in bed then I wonder how comfortable you will be (lol)

@allknowing Luckily we both are sound sleeper and we are not in to trapeze acts. But some days, he gets restless and is constantly turning and tossing. Those are the days, I go for a separate one.

Well now that I am married its okay for us to share in a single comforter. We got used to each othet and it does not bother us anymore when we move. But if I was single I would prefer single individual sheets and wouldn’t want to share mine of course.

Me and my partner are planning on separate bedrooms so each can have his/her own space. I will see how it works out.
