What do you think about the one egg a day diet

I was just reading about some diets that could bring visible result within days of starting a weight loss diet and I came across this diet of one eating just an egg daily.
I think this can help immensely with weight loss but I'm wondering the side effect of this to the body? Have you ever tried this?
What do you think about this? Yay or Nay?

'Do you mean just eating an egg and that is all. I did a whopper diet once and rode my bike and lost lots of weight but also gained it back. For me diets do not work. Finding a program like Valerie did in learning to eat certain things and cutting out others is the best way to do it I feel.

I actually have a cousin who use this one egg a day diet and its really effective since she loss weight drastically.

If that's ALL you eat in a day, then obviously you'll lose weight because you'll be starving yourself.

I don't agree with this. Your body need vital nutrients and one egg can not provide enough vitamins and minerals.
