Did you have a lot of games as a kid?

We had tons of board games as a kid..the popular ones like Monopoly, Clue, the Game of Life, Game of the States, Hands Down, Operation and many others. We loved board games and got them every Christmas. My generation was slightly before video games, the only one we had was Pong..so board games were the thing. Pretty much, if it was a board game sold in the 60's and 70's we had it. Hands Down was really a fun game. It has been so long since I have played a real board game though. I played Scrabble a couple of times with my former roomie that was it. I do have a few board games here. Maybe next time I have guests I will break out Jenga!

The only game I liked playing as a kid was Yahtzee. Remember that one?

Yeah, we had Yahtzee. I don't remember how to play anymore but at that long term focus group I went to..some people struck up a game. I was mildly tempted to play.

We use to love boards games. Of course in my generation there were no video games. I still enjoy playing board games with my grandchildren. Some of the games we had or played were Trouble, Sorry, Yahtzee, Connect Four, Concentration, Mouse Trap, Guess Who, Battleship and Don't Break The Ice. I won the Don't Break The Ice Game on a TV contest. Only thing I ever won!

@Happy2BeMe Crazy Clock was cool..it was hard to set up the contraption right though to make the clock work, but that was part of the game.

I always Loved Board games when I was growing up. Seemed like I always had a game of Monopoly going with someone, and usually Life as well. Still play Monopoly from time to time when I can get enough people together who want to play it.

We did not have many board games, but played a variety of card games, marble games and dice games, and dominoes. My kids had lots of board games, and my daughter still does, but not my son. His wife and step kids do not play them.

@snowy22315 I wasn't good at it. And it buzzes. I didn't like toys that make sound and still don't.

There are some great board games out now - and dozens of choices it seems. We regularly play Ticket To Ride. Qwirkle is another fun one which doesn't take too long.

I remembered Monopoly but we weren't the board game type. We usually run in the streets all day. We were the smelly and sweaty kids back then. My well-off friends were playing Super Mario Bros in their Nintendo console. We we're watching them because having a console back then was a bit pricey.
