I start the morning with news.

Good morning, friends. For me, an important part of my morning routine is to read the news. Some of them I just glance, others I click at the headlines to read the entire news. Yes, I say "click" because I read the news in my laptop. Today I was worried about a landslide at Valais, Switzerland. I am following the several charges of abuse and corruption that the Chilean Catholic Church is facing. And I read at least the headlines from the political news. I am never interested how much did a celebrity dress cost or who dressed her (or him). Do you read news every day? What sort of news are more interesting for you?

No worries about the landslide in the Canton Valais, no victims and no major damages to the houses. They are already cleaning up. We had some damages here in the south yesterday evening due to the storms. We were lucky.

Thanks for telling me, Anna. I was worried for you. Where do you live in Switzerland? I thought that you lived more in the German speaking part until a few days ago you wrote about going to the lake. Then I pictured Lausanne and got confused.

@marguicha No, I live in the south in the Italian speaking part of Switzerland, near the Italian border. I am near the Lake of Lugano.

@LadyDuck I see. I visited there when I went from Lausanne to Italy by car many decades ago. It was the first part of my visit to Europe.

The first thing I do is turn on the local radio to listen to the news and the weather. I need to know how I should approach the day.

I don't get a newspaper but I get news headlines in my email. If anything important happens over night it will be in my news feed or on FB.

My morning usually starts with the weather. I don't pay much attention to the news until evening unless something catches my attention during the day.

I don't read or watch the news. It's too depressing. I don't care what people are wearing either, as long as they look nice. If it's important, I'll hear about it at the Pool or here.

@marguicha The titles would be the only thing I would read. News tends to depress me, so I stay away from it.

Glad to meet you gain my sweet friend. Yes I too start the day with newspaper reading. I prefer a hard copy of the printed newspaper in one hand and tea in the other. I read all sorts of news and mainly political but as you said bad incidents, accidents, women atrocities, kidnapping and such make me perturbed too. I'm also not into fashion and celebrity gossips but I like to read news updates and sometimes learn new recipes. I am not that much interested in sports. I like to read motivational articles and legal news too. I hope you are doing well. I'm so happy to see old my old friends here. Have a great time

I used to read the news in the paper form. But Now I have checked how much I can pile up as paper goes with it so I prefer to read the news online.
