How sad being Indonesian teacher

Teacher is a profession that getting high appreciation from the society. But it only happens in the past. Recently, many Indonesian parents and students have less appreciation even less respectful to the teacher, especially non civil servant teachers. Why? because their salary is very low. Approximately $30/ a month.
In addition, teachers can not punish the naughty or bad students because their parents will report the teacher to the officer and it can take them into a jail.
how about the teachers in your society?

Patience, my friend, if there is an opportunity to be appointed as a civil servant then take the opportunity
I think punishing naughty students doesn't matter as long as it's not too much. My childhood was used to being slapped and beaten with a ruler by the teacher if he was naughty. That's normal
If I go to the house report with my parents, even parents also punish me at home because of that problem
Children today are bad, this is related to their parents who might spoil them too
