Because I didn't give a shat

Lost my Father after a battle of health issues. It has been a while, April to be accurate, but it still feels like yesterday. I had work coming down hard about lay offs and seemed like they just didn't get it when I refused overtime. Sorry, I'm still working and then going to my mom's because she lost her best friend, I lost my Father and my children lost their GrandFather. So work is weird about this. Wants to know why I'm not "dedicated". My Dad is dead. How about that. I flat out told my supervisor I don't give a shat what happens here and why should I? I have always put in my time plus more so not understanding it. Frustrated. No real question here more of venting. What do you do when you feel frustrated?

@kprofgames that is so funny how you put that. yes being here keeps you knowing you are not alone. some don't get that. they complain if you do too many sad posts and i kind of understand that. but then, i think to myself they should just move on and read upbeat things if that's what they are here for. we are here to post what we live and support those of like minds.

I am so sorry for the loss of your dear Father. Yes, that work needs to give you time off too its the law isnt it. When I feel frustrated the only escape I have is movies. I just lost my Mother July. RIP to both

Sorry for the loss of you Mother. You know something that was said at Dad's services was "we didn't lose him, lost is when you don't know where something is. We know where he is. He's in heaven." I was really touched by that and it helped knowing he's in a better place and not in so much pain.

That's kind of what I use work for but it's getting harder to go in and find my mind wondering, remember some great memories and worry about my Mom.

I'm so very sorry for your loss. It takes each of us a different amount of time to grieve losing someone like this. And it sounds like you're doing double duty, grieving the loss of your Dad and watching your Mom as she lost her better half. Stay strong, and remember that even though you need a job, they could be a bit more understanding.

She has been doing better. Was there yesterday to help with some garden stuff neighbor dropped off, make sure her garbage gets to the dump. I worry about her a lot, but know that's just part of it all.

Yes it should. I lost a lot of time with my Father because of work pressures during those last few months. I am spending time now with my mother, helping her through all this.
