Dealing with heartbreaks.

Has your heart ever been broken by someone you loved so much and gave your all to? Like how did you feel the first time you were jilted by your boyfriend/girlfriend and how did you deal with the emotional trauma? Mine was in college and he happened to be my first love. He broke up with me because he thought we weren't compatible. I cried my eyes out for weeks and almost gave up on love. But after listening to Bishop T.D.Jakes message on "let it go", I regained my normal self and became the slay queen I was known to be. After some few months, my ex came back apologising but I told him it was too late. So how did you overcome that heartbreak? Let's hear yours.

I learned to love myself first. If you know that you never did anything wrong, then don't feel bad about the break up. Once a door closes, a better one opens.

For me to deal with heart breaks I've made an itinerary distraction places for bleeding hearts. I go to some places that is worth it for my budget, bond with friends and make my life busy everyday. And suddenly I never noticed I was being broke by someone, with the help of friends of course I really made it.

You are absolutely right. People employ different ways of recovering from broke ups. My close friends were really there for me and that helped me heal faster and moved on.

Oh yeah the famous saying let go and let God. I am just glad that you were successful in moving on with it. I think it takes time to really get over it.

@Nkoyof I can understand that. It is really hard to especially when you've given everything you've got. That is why it is good to always save some of that love for yourself rather than giving everything. When it fails then at least you have something to hold on to.
