Maria Veal is an amazing businesswoman who has followed her passions of baking food since she was a child growing up in Mexico.
Maria who is showing her heart of compassion of caring for others that need work and have special needs like her son Billy who has Down's Syndrome.
I like the way she uses her smarts to work with students at Richards High School in Oak Lawn Illinois that has an Adult Transition Program (ATP) which include her son Billy and a few of his classmates.
Maria opened up her store called "A Little Something Extra Bakery/Cafe" in July.
The rule of thumb of dealing with persons who have special needs is to patient with them and have a teacher to assist them do their work to the best of the ability without making them take on tasks that are too much for them to handle.

What a nice story! Wonderful for her to reach out to the special needs population and not only offer them a fun activity but a useful skill too.
