Drinking water the first thing in the morning

Drinking water in an empty stomach after waking up is deemed beneficial in Indian holistic medical practises like ayurveda(maybe many others too) . They consider it to cleanse the stomach and help detoxifying the body . It is a simple regime that can yield good benefits.
Do you follow this simple routine?

I do drink water in the mornings before the coffee because I am thirsty, lol.

That is pretty much what I do. I always have a glass of water or a cup ready to drink water.

Yup, I have heard about that. As for me, I take a glass of water with 1-2 tablespoons of Apple Cider Vinegar. Also, warm lemon water with 1 teaspoon of honey.

I dont specially drink water in the morning, but I do drink water when I wake up during the night. I have a glass at my night table.

Its simple and very beneficial and I do this every morning. Before the coffee I have my water after gargle.

Morning I try my best to drink water on empty stomach but most of the days I wake up late so I try to drink at least two liter of water in a day.

@compslick always staying hydrated is good for health, though food provides some percentage of water required for body but its not enough so you have to take in liquid to supplement it.

Yes, I drink at least 2 glasses of warm water on empty stomach, first thing in the morning. Then, I will not eat breakfast until after 45 minutes after drinking the warm water.
It a very good way of detoxifying the bodY.
Whenever I do that, after a while I will have a runny nose , would fart then in a little while will eliminate my wastes.
It's now my daily "upon waking up in the morning" regimen.

I've been doing this every morning and before sleeping at night. Coz I need water therapy to cleanse my kidney and everything.

@Sojourn I dont have any. I just I want to prevent my kidney while I'm still young. But its really informative to those people lack of water habit.
