Well I did it

This morning I said that I couldn't face going in to move my stuff out of my classroom. That got me thinking about it and I decided to just go in and get it done. I cried on the drive there and a little bit as I started getting myself going, but it was actually easier than I thought it would be. There was no one else around so I just got to the task and got it done.
There were 2 bins of stuff, 2 big pictures, and a set of speakers for me to move downstairs. The filing cabinet will have to be moved by a custodian. That's really it. The supplies are staying where they are since I don't have a classroom and I will just have to go there and take them as I need them. Whoever is in that room now will have to deal with it.
I'm glad that I got that over with. I called my husband when I was finished and cried a bit afterwards. Now I have a couple more weeks of summer to just try to relax before I have to start work and deal with the reality of being a floating teacher like a new hire.

Don't you have seniority so those with less tenure have to be floaters?

@NJChicaa That doesn't seem right. You love answers. I would of thought you would of been raising hell with them.

we use the term floater when a staff nurse should be a reliever to any absent employee in any shift, but i cannot understand why you are in a floating status since you are a teacher and you are a good one.

Being treated unfairly at work really makes us feel wronged. If possible, you can try to change a new environment. I mean, you can go to another new school to teach.
