Hard to get anything done

So here I am finally putting up a post. Hubby has gone to look at a windshield at a junk yard. It was not good. So we are not buying that. Meanwhile he has been trying to sign up for a temporary job at Kelly Services. They kept saying they sent him the form he needed, but it kept not arriving. Finally arrived nineteen hours after it was sent for the third time. Of course he was gone, so I filled it out. I did e mail the special ed co op about paperwork for subbing but I have not heard back. All the trash is out. I scalded milk for yogurt. When it is cool I will put it in the dehydrator. Clouds are pulling down from the north. Maybe that means rain. We did not get any yesterday. So, mainly moving slow and doing the routine. I will be here more later. I am going to go mend something for my sister, as I will be seeing her on Wednesday. Be good, guys and have fun.

I didn't realize Kelly Services was still in business.

I had never gone to them and neither had hubby. In our other town they were pretty much clerical and office jobs. Not my cup of tea.

Will you ever be able to retire completely? My dad calculates he can retire at 74 to get enough to live on. It doesn't help his wife is retired and gets only $675 a month. And she pays none of the bills besides her health insurance payments.

Because I started drawing at 62, with my medicare taken out I make a lot less than she does. Hubby makes more. I am not sure retirement as such will be the healthiest for me. I tend to be non social if I do not go work.

@GardenGerty I That's pathetic. You should be getting more She should be getting more. You both should! She worked for a hospital 37 years (she's 64, my dad 63), and that's what she gets? Same with you. You worked your little heart out. I don't understand it. You guys work more than I ever did, and I get slightly more than she does for disability. Meanwhile, a woman who has never worked, literally a day in her life, gets $1,100 a month. She's truly disabled, but didn't get on it until she was 25, like me. How does that work? She lives in the same county I do. But she receives more a month than any of us? How?!

We had a lovely fine day yesterday and then last night it rained quite heavily. Today seems fine again so far.
