Can you directly say NO?

I am very polite and don't have the courage to say No on face of others. Because of this attitude, I have to suffer a lot. Now, day by day, I am practicing to say No, if the work doesn't interest me.
Actually, I don't want to hurt others. That's why, I prefer to do what others are saying me (of course, that has to be legal). What about you? Are you of my type?

I was like you and I have learnt it a hard way that saying NO is important for me to survive with my sanity and inner peace. With conscious effort I have improved a lot and I am happy. This is the best thing that I have learnt so far.

@deba12 When it becomes a need to survive, you learn to do it naturally. That's what happened with me.
