yeah, same here with me, desktop because when I get trouble I wont have hard time looking for technician to fix it and not that expensive. laptop isn't convenient to bring outside cus the battery doesnt lasts long.

My LapTop is just a little one, with not too much memory or Hard Disc in it....
But I only bought it so that we have a PC when we are away from home, and we can still do some of the things we do at home on it....
But....
I prefer my BIG one at home !!!!

I prefer destop computer too. Laptod are too expensive and i don't need it right now. when something broken, thewhole labtop need to be change as all part in labtop are intergrated and interconnected. beside this, labtop can not upgrade as all the component are build in.

both have different characteristics and unique uses.... and also different advantages!
in speaking of my life at present life.... i prefer palmtop!
desktop: you need desk to put it at the top!
laptop:you need to sit first to have it placed at the top of your lap....
and palmtop: you only need it at the top of your palm... so easy to use!

Choosing a laptop for a primary computer is a bad choice, unless you've got lots of money.
You end up paying twice as much for half the speed, have a dinky screen compared to a desktop, a smaller hard drive, fewer removable storage devices like CD writers, less memory, and less functionality. The list goes on.
Unless you need the mobility, use the laptop only for its intended purpose -- as a second computer, not a primary one
