What's for dinner? August 16

What's going on the dinner table tonight? I want to know! I'm having chicken tenders marinated in a mixture of dijon mustard, soy sauce, dry sherry, worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, and vegetable oil and then breaded and baked. It is a recipe from Alex Guarnaschelli's Old School Comfort Food cookbook. To go with it I am having leftover mashed potatoes and a summer squash and zucchini gratin. I am home alone for dinner but I still deserve a nice dinner, right? That is what's happening here. What are YOU having? Do tell!
I saw this recipe around Mother's Day in a newspaper article by Alex Guarnaschelli. It is delicious and not hard to make.

@NJChicaa only if I get Ice Cream after. Then we can go to Target because we have jobs and can afford the "expensive" stores lol

@NJChicaa It was okay. My taste buds must be changing, as I didn't mind the cauliflower.

@just4him cauliflower is pretty mild. I like it best roasted but it is pretty good mashed too.

I used to make Hamburger Helper for my macaw when I first got him. His owners would feed him that.

Left over ingredients from Tuesday night's dinner for making tacos. It was good though. I think the meat marinates even more just setting in the fridge.

You certainly are quite the good cook Chicaa. I am not having dinner not hungry tonight. Might have a few tortilla chips with home made bean dip later on tho.

I love cooking. My husband has long hours and I don't. . . especially in the summer. I started cooking as a way to fill the time. I taught myself how to cook that way and I still do it all of these years later. (That's why I have to do all of those crazy workouts at the gym too. )
