I have been searching mobiles online to buy but due to some reasons I left that idea.
Hubby kept his promise and bought a mobile for me from shop on day before yesterday (Saturday). He gone along with elder son and bought according to their choice. After buying it elder son told me it is good we opted out the idea of buying it online as offline shops are good to buy it and they are providing more accessories along with the mobile like selfie stick, back cover, screen cover etc. as free.
On the other hand, some mobile sets are available only online stores.
What is your preference for buying mobiles, online shops or offline shops?

@DaddyEvil I don't waste monies on electronics. LOL. They are priced high initially, and steadily lose value and become worthless so they are anti asset class for me. To reduce such wasteful expenditure, I restrict the usage. I use it only for calls, and smses. So far so good. Well over two years and looks good for at least another four. Then again I will not buy the latest. I hardly use any apps other than audio, video, and whatsapp. LOL So I don't need much. I might add Uber and Ola app, and some eateries apps at the most. MIGHT.

@vandana7 Uhm... you do realize that smartphones aren't made to "last a lifetime", right? (grinning at you)
I replace my smartphone (I always purchase Android smartphones.) roughly every 2 1/2 years. By that time, the phone is usually no longer capable of receiving updates from the manufacturer and is beginning to have physical or software problems that I can't fix.
Does your phone run noticeably slower than it did when you bought it? Are you having issues with any of the apps running correctly or with your phone shutting itself off and on? Can you still hear callers clearly? (Those are all problems with either hardware or software. They indicate a new phone is needed.)

Hahaha... So finally you got a new mobile phone. If I remember exactly that you were speaking about mobile last months when we had a chat that you don't have a new mobile and I told that I have bought a new one so you said send it to me and all that hahaha... I guess it was you only with whom I had this chat. And congratulations for a new mobile, which model is that.. Oh tell me..... I'm really curious as I really love electronic gadgets specially mobile phones..
Oh and yes I forgot to answer your question, no I really really don't like electronic gadgets and mobile phones online because once we ordered for a tablet and it was completely spoilt piece. We then went to its Service Centre to get it repaired but we really wrong the lord and we couldn't get the proper repair of it so finally we sold it On a Less than half price. 60%discount we gave. On 40%cost we sold it off.

Yes dear, I remember that chat still. Actually we planned to buy Redmi note 5 but on visiting shop they realized it is hybrid sim and shopper suggested Oppo (costed Rs. 13000/-) purple in colour. They given selfi stick, back cover, and screen cover etc. Actually all these are (covers) available with phone pack too. (So I have extras now). I love the phone which is working perfect and camera is so good.

I have bought most of my electronic gadgets online via Amazon or Flipkart and haven’t faced any issues so far. I prefer Online because of the discounts they offer, return policies and even freebies at times.

@Sreekala My air conditioner, refrigerator and computer, all bought from the Internet. As long as you buy brand things, there will be no problem.

@caopaopao I agree dear. But in case of branded things also off line stores providing some thing more. May be that is their marketing techniques.

I purchased mobile through online means only once. Yet I prefer the offline mode for the reasons you mentioned. Also we can have a look at what exactly we are getting in hand, even though online too they have a return policy.

@Sreekala It was fine- I bought Moto E in December 2014 through Flipkart.
I later purchased Samsung Galaxy J2 offline in January 2016.
The January experience was much better, but we still have both mobiles operational.

If the item is readily available in the nearest mall, I prefer buying it there, otherwise I buy it online.
Also, I suggest you buy phones directly on a store or mall so you would be able to test it immediately.
