Spent the weekend celebrating my birthday with my boyfriend

Friday was my dogs first birthday. My daughter had picked out a new toy at Walmart to give her. I invited my boyfriend over for dinner. I made tacos for him and my son and cheese fondue for my daughter and I. For dessert I had made a small carrot cake and some Butter Pecan fudge. I let both the dogs have a tiny piece of cake so they could celebrate too. My boyfriend was really exhausted and snored so loud all night that I could not sleep at all so the following day I was tired and grumpy. It rained most the day so our plans for the day got changed. On top of that his dog smelled so bad I had to bathe her and the odor wouldn’t go away so I had to put sheets across the couch to keep it from getting stinky and she was shedding so bad my tan carpet looked like it was covered with mud. He needed to get a dog kennel since he just got a beagle so we drove up to get one and I picked out two geocaches to do which wound up being really cool ones. The one container was a fake rat. The other container was in an old farm cultivator and was outside an art studio and gift shop. I loved looking around as I am such a lover of Art. We ate dinner at a sports restaurant and then went back to his house to feed his dogs where we discovered his basement had a lot of water in it. The old well filled up and the line coming in the basement had never been plugged up. There was a carpet over the drain so it couldn’t drain out. It took along time to push all the water out of there. Then when we went inside the ceiling tiles had fallen down on his bed. He asked if I wanted to go to the bar since he was in a mood after the stuff going on at his house. In the 5 1/2 years we have been together (off and on) he has never invited me to go to a bar in town with him before. We went and I had two drinks to his many refills. Sunday was chillier but no rain so we went kayaking to a big lake to find a geocache on an island. There was jet skis and boats going really fast and crazy all over even in the slow spots so it made it hard to paddle and he was nervous we were going to get hit so he was yelling at me to go faster lol. He stayed with the kayaks while I looked for the geocache. The island was neat it had grills and even a port-a-John. Afterwards we went hiking at a nature preserve in the Poconos but we forgot the bug spray in the truck so we were bit up horribly by mosquitoes and after awhile we had to just call it quits and leave. The photo I attached is one of the old buildings along the trail which was a pump house and spring. Before heading home we stopped at an Italian restaurant. The waitress didn’t take my order down correctly so instead of broccoli and fettuccine noodles with white sauce I got noodles just covered in butter and a little garlic. It was bland and gross but I was so hungry I just ate it and didn’t say anything.
