Was Isaac newton wrong, does the earth suck?

What do you mean by suck? When you throw something down,the earth also moves towards the object.However,the relative mass of earth compared to the object means that it is hardly noticeable.

I used the term suck, cos thats the feeling you get when your parachuting before you main chute opens. Free falling. Try it because there are more theories just waiting to be made. Good luck!

No he was not wrong. He stated his theory in technical terms. In layman language it can be put as "every thin in this universe sucks every other body towards it with a suction force which depends on the mass content of the bodies under consideration and the distance between them".;p He was a great scientist dude. What he contributed to the scientific community can never be forgotten. However it was solely his personal wish to select the exact words to state his theory. He could have used the term "suck" as well but he might have founded it inappropriate perhaps.:p I hope you are now convinced.:)
