What kind of marriage is happy marriage? I think we all have different standards for it.
If you want to make your marriage happy, I think at least you should learn to love and give.
My father once told me that there is no one right or wrong in marriage. Because none of us is perfect. So in marriage, we have to accept each other, instead of changing each other.
What kind of marriage do you think will make you happy? Dear friend.

I agree, Andria. If a person is kind, then a lot of other traits will be there also. Like love, friendliness, compassion, and caring.

Accepting your partner means that you respect him. This should work both ways.

I really believe there would be so many failed marriages if married couples would treat each other as if they were still dating. Just think about it, while dating, each one always has something to share with the other, seek things to do together, buy each other gifts and always trying to look your best when you first start dating someone an most people do not argue and fuss all the time. But it seams like with a lot of couples once their married, all of that stopped. I really think that each person has got to make an effort. in order for their marriage to work.

@caopaopao you are right, it seems like when some get married they think they can control the other person's life and always doing what they what to do, taking the other one's love for granted.

What you said is great. The most important thing in marriage is to work together. Accept each other. Not just taking.

I think marriage should be like 2 best friends living together and sharing their life. Of course it won't be perfect all the time, your dad is right - but.... as near perfect as is possible :-)

These days, I really don't know as I'm pretty happy being alone. Would I get married again? I don't know. I've become so fussy and picky.

Picking a few words from a toast I raised at a wedding. Marriage is a partnership of trust and understanding. Marriage is like a pair of railway tracks that run on their own but carry the load together. I could go on.

Love and mutual respect is the key to a successful marriage. If you have these both elements everything else will fall into place

For me I would say my most important which is for my husband and I, is a Relationship with God and putting him first. Then trust, being open and honest and talk about every little thing when a financial situation occurs

True no marriage is the same from couple to couple. They have their own unique style of coping and tolerating each others differences. But the important ingredient in getting a happy married life is the continuous love and trust for each other. This I think binds the marriage stronger and happier in the long run. If a couple lost any of the two then marriage will lost its real meaning at all.
