What happened? I'm glad you can see this one. Does the photo of a sunset, made kind of "dreamy" by a filter I used, show?

I've lost a few posts randomly. I always say I'll write in Word and then cut and paste, but I never do. I'm too lazy, I guess, and most posts here aren't that long.

@TheHorse I only post pictures from Pixabay now. My pictures are in the still not fixed PC.

@marguicha Oh, that sucks. Pixaboy photos look so "generic" to me. I avoid them. I like using my own photos, even if I wind up repeating now and again.

I think it had to do wth posting a link and then switching the main photo to one of my own.

@andriaperry Heh. I miss the thunderstorms of the Midwest. They made me appreciate the power of nature. We rarely have those here.

I was able to get this very short post with no links up later last night. Not sure what happened. Glad to hear it was wonky for others too.

Yep. The ghost of Motel 6 in Idaho Falls followed me home. Have you heard of "ghost planes"? It's when the cabin suddenly depressurizes, the pilots die, and the plane flies itself until it eventually crashes.

That's what I do these days as well. Get it out there and posted. And then add a photo and "key words."

@TheHorse If I complete everything and then attempt to submit the post, usually it won't work. Everything I carefully did, has to be deleted and done over again:( Very frustrating!

Heh. I think I just screwed up somehow. Or maybe the site was glitchy that night.

@dahliagyll One of my favorite things here is learning about different countries. If you're from Austria, you can write about the land, what people do there for fun (when I was there, my friend's 5-year-old son went on a day trip skiing with his Kindergarten--we wouldn't do that here in the US!), how Austrians learn English, how things in Austria have changed over time (my friend and I had excellent Thai food there!), etc. I have MyLot friends from Germany, Switzerland, Israel, India, Australia, etc. I even enjoy learning about the weather and vegetation in different places.

I think if one is going add a link AND a picture, they should do the picture first. Then add in the link. That may be been my mistake. @JolietJake, am I on the right track?

@myklj999 I wonder why that post "disappeared." Would it matter if I did it one way and then flip-flopped the order? I can't remember what I did.

Are you familiar with James McMurtry? I love his song "Childish Things," which deals with this "theme."

Thanks. It's a typical sunset photo from the hills of California. I then "blurred" it a bit with my editing program to make it look like a painting.

What happened to me is rare. Most of my "Discussions" post just fine.
