Out of sour cream but I had a substitution

While cooking the zucchini and yellow squash for the squash casserole I realized that I didn't have any sour cream. I reeeeeeeeeeeeeally didn't feel like going out to the store. I did a Google search for "sour cream substitute" and found that I could use either plain Greek yogurt or creme fraiche both of which I had. I decided to go with the creme fraiche because I didn't know what else I was going to do with it. Google is a wonderful thing.

When it is sauteed, it is pretty mild. Kind of like a cooked cucucmber.

I'm not a fan of ranch so we never have that in the house.

Mine is similar to this though I don't do the topping and I add a bit of dried thyme to the mix
