Hi mylotters. I have heard many people say that "If one wants to travel they just have to backpack their stuff and start with their journey". However, I wonder whether it's possible?? As in today's times, everything is so expensive. Is it feasible to travel without money in this age?? What do you think about it? Do you feel money isn't necessary to travel the whole world?

Practically speaking, of course you need it. =) Without money in your own country - you can barely do anything and so i think it is also not very wise to have nothing with you on your travel. First you do need money to book a ticket, for countries that require you visa to visit them, they need financial proof to be able to go to them as well... I guess that meant that you sure do need something to get you going...

@Rashnag There are those that get travelers checks in order to travel and you need money to pay for places to stay unless you want to put everything on your credit card or cards. When I travel inside of Israel I need money to pay for food or drink I get and for things I buy. I do not like to use my credit card that much and only use it for certain things,.

No. It is not possible. Money is needed to travel. For whatever you want to do, be it to get there, or enjoy your time there, eat there, sleep there...you are going to need money to do that.

Money is essential even if you are not travelling. How can you can buy food to eat? It's tougher when you're in unfamiliar place. So better have some funds to back you up.

It surely is possible but it might be quite dangerous. It is wiser to be ready and prepared.

Yes, definitely. It's important to have money when you are traveling locally or internationally. You will never know what might happen during your trip (for instance, you need to pay for environmental fees, you need to go back to your home because of an emergency, etc). It's always better to be prepared.
