Utah firefighter adopts a German Shepherd who was a fire site in California

A Draper (Utah) Firefighter named Patrick saw a German Shepherd that was in the fire zone in the California fires recently.
The German Shepherd was taken to the Mendocino County Animal Shelter to be checked out if he is healthy to be adopted by Patrick since the Draper Firefighters lost a firefighter named Matthew Burchett two weeks in the line of duty recently battling the Mendocino Complex Fire.
Patrick will be with new best friend who took the name Mendo to be his pet for the rest of his life which is in Reno Nevada
German Shepherds make wonderful watchdogs as well as companions. I am sure that Patrick feels like he struck the big prize in the lottery by adopting Mendo as his new partner.

I love German Shepherds as well. As well as Beagles or mixed breed kinds of these dogs.

I am sure that there a lot of pets that are displaced from the fire.
