I will read product reviews but learned medical advice is often vague and panic inducing.

@JohnRoberts, I like to look at medical definitions so I am aware exactly of what my specialists are telling me.

Yes and no. I don't go for much beyond general information, or a personal opinion ("what did/didn't you like about that car?").
Lots of people do, though. I have to laugh when I see people asking complete and total strangers whom they've never met and probably never will meet, "What tattoo should I get?"

@amadeo — that’s an example, not a specific question directed at you.

@amadeo Yeah, sometimes the side effects ate worse than what you are being treated for.

Yeah, I generally look up health stuff. Just this morning I looked up "curling fingers", found out it was called Dupuytren's Contracture. I use Swagbucks search, hoping to get a few swagbucks for my trouble. Didn't get any with this one.

I don't use internet for medical advice. For other stuff I use internet to know meaning of words etc

i have probably asked for help on the internet a couple of times, indirectly doing so. I have not posted on the facebook about my problems though. and in mylot my seeking of advice is more of a discussion already. i post about it when its past. I am not the one hwo is comfortable to talk about recent things, in deed.

I've looked up things regarding certain situations, medically, and found some answers, but I don't rely on those answers, because every person is different, and those symptoms could also be for something quite unrelated.

Me too. I try to find answer with my questions, pain, discomfort, and for almost everything that might be helpful in the Internet. And from the real experience of different people, it helps in one way or another. If it works, I'm thankful but of course there should be limitation.
