Any favourite music instrument?

Music has got an important place in our lives, with different genres and likes. If I had to chose a special instrument, I prefer the stringed ones like the classic guitar, harp and violin. Specially the violin has some good players. One of my favourite is Vanessa Mae. Someone else here likes her? What's your favourit instrument or music?

I don't know how to play musical instruments but i like to hear the music of flute and veena

Flute is also very nice. Many years ago, I learnt a bit to play the guitar and we learnt to play flute in school.

@Meramar we weren't taught music at school, that would have been awesome i guess. Was everything taught at your school related to music??

@vsai2008 We had music as subject during several years where we learnt sol-fa, how to compose chords, listened to classical music and learnt about some artists like Mozart, Chopin, Bach.... I loved it.

@Meramar I play guitar, pinao, bass, and a bit of mandolin. I also claim to sing, though you can be the judge of that. Here is one of my YouTube videos.

@redtesha Do you have any favorite one in between the classical music? Personally, I love Don Giovanni by Mozart, Messiah by Haendl, Peer Gynt by Grieg, My Country by Smetana and the 9th Symphony by Beethoven.

Years ago, when I listened to the radio at night time while I studied, they put once a music which was played only by drums. It was really amazing. It's a pitty that I did not catch the name of it. I never listened it again.

My favourite instrument is the saxophone! I have learnt the guitar and piano but it would be my dream to be able to play the saxophone, I love the sound and it really adds to a song, if anyone has heard Dire Strait’s Alchemy please listen out for Mel Collins- he is really good

I haven't heard of Mel Collins, but I really like the sax playing of Paul Desmond. Have you heard of him? He played with Dave Brubeck.

@Meramar When I was a teeager, I did take some classical guitar lessons. I enjoyed it but did not continue as life took me in a different direction.

Well me. I love music on a whole but I can't play any of those instrument. Tried a guitar but failed lol
