how can i create my blog

please give me the internal structure on how the process goes if i want to create my own blog and maintain it(updating it)i.e about hosting and do we need FTP etc..

yes i set today only. i donno much about it. just opened blogspot.com and signed up. spam-blacklist.blogspot.com

Go to www.blogspot.com and sign up there. It is free. You can choose layouts and page looks. Also you don't need FTP for it to be updated. I set mine up so all I need to do to update my blog is by sending it an e-mail to a secret address and it is automatically updated! http://brentjh.blogspot.com
