why do we press remote harder, when we know batteries are weak???

It's common phenomenon, that we love to press the buttons of the remote harder, knowing the fact that bateries are weak, anyone can tell y??

I think it's human psychology. It's the same reason that we get into an elevator and press the floor buttons multiple times, even though we know that it won't make the elevator move any faster. I think it's a human's way of trying to control everything, even though we can't, at least we want to feel like we're in control.
