I happen to watch Schindler’s List last week which is one of the highly rated movies on IMDB. The story is about an industrialist Oskar Schindler who saves Jews from execution during Germany’s occupancy of Poland in Hitler’s regime. I was absolutely moved by the movie as I felt it displayed the troubles people faced during that time and how Schindler helped the people in difficult times. I stumbled upon the IMDB reviews for the movie and found many of the recent reviews not in favour of the movie and how the history wasn’t truthfully shown. If you have seen the movie, what is your reaction about the movie?

I was able to see the movie called Schindler's List. In World War II Oskar Schindler saved so many Jewish people at such a difficult time for them. He was a brave man that would have got into extreme trouble if the officers found out. I like the story of Corrie Ten Boom a lady that lived in the Netherlands. Her father owned a watch shop and they hid Jewish people and let them go to safe places. In Berlin blind people helped Jewish people in a place close the Anne Frank Museum.

The movie was well made and touched my emotions but the reviews on IMDB are very contradicting saying the movie is one-sided.

@maximax8 Yes there were those that did help the Jews and if they were found out they would be in trouble too. We recognize them as Righteous Gentiles here in Israel and Yad Vashem recognizes them. Anne Frank's family hid for two years and then someone betrayed them and sent them to the camps. Jews not let in many countries. The British would not let them come here but we had Jews that got into Europe and save Jews and bring them to Israel.

This movie was banned and wasn't shown in the cinema in this country because the Catholic Cardinal said there were a lot of pumping scenes. However, because of that ban, people got curious and this highly acclaimed movie became the talk of the whole country. It's one o my favorite movies and I salute Liam Neeson for his great acting.

Thank you for the information, I didn't knew the movie was banned or so. Liam Neeson was amazing and so was as Ralph Fiennes. I don't know much about the exact history but many IMDB reviewers have down-rated the movie saying it to be inaccurate and one-sided.

@aadesh_1987 I have the movie and cannot watch because what it protrays is the Jews how Jews were treated in the Holocauist. Yes, Schindler did same Jews and I am grateful that he did. Hitler wanted to be rid of the Jews and had his Final Solution for us. He put my People in Concentration Camps and treated them like they were animals. He had numbers put on their arms for them never to forget and humilated them in the streets. He had them put in ghettoes. Adolph Eichmann was a horrible nazi and got what he deserved in Israel. We have a group looking for nazis no matter how old they are. I have watched some Holocaust movies but when they use a baby as a ball I will not watch them. It makes me very sick what they did to my People.
