this evening, indonesian currency, rupiah colapsed to 15.000 per dollar, and its very critical situation. we had worse in 1998, and we dont more have it anymore. 3 or 4 years ago, rupiah stood in 12000 per dollar and the trend is weakening.
china-america trade war make it worse. the price of stuff is going to be higher, in case we import many things.
but it is a good news for people in indonesia who have big dollar.

This has got both domestic and international reasons. A fall in currency does not solely happen because two other countries are having a trade war....sure it has some consequences, but mainly it depends on the said country's trade economy. In India, Rupee is falling too. It used to be 63-65 rupees per dollar, now it's 70-72, and its worsening. I definitely blame the present government in India to send it to a new low, especially with the scam they pulled with the de-monetisation stunt 2 years back. Economy is collapsing severely. The best way to tackle it is to strengthen the economy within and then look outwards for improving international trade relations.
