Good morning, everyone! I know, I never post this early, but I'm awake and online, so why not?
My alarm went off at 7:05am, and I met my best friend, her son and her Dad outside my house around 7:40ish. Little Mister needed to use the bathroom so I brought him inside, which got the dogs started, oh geez lol. When we came back outside, we took a few pictures and then hit the road for his first day of school.
.....And by hit the road, I really just mean we walked up the block lol. He's going to the same school I went to as a child. :)
I think he was a little nervous, especially when he saw the other kids, and his bookbag was irritating him, but he was a trooper. No tears (and if there would've been, that would've been okay), and he even got excited at times. His teacher and assistant teacher are really nice, and I have no doubt he'll make friends before he knows it.
For the most part, his Grandfather will be doing drop-offs and pick-ups, but there are times where I may do it as well, since I live close to the school. His Grandfather is picking him up today. I think Little Mister gonna have a great time in kindergarten. :)
When I got home, I laid on the couch for a little while (I wasn't looking to fall into a deep sleep), before getting up to eat some cereal and make a coffee. I have The Golden Girls on now, and I'm getting ready to start on my writing orders. If I get too tired, I'll grab a nap later.
Anyways, I'll try to be back (and go through my notifications) later. You all have a great day and take care. :)

@just4him When I was a kid, it was a half day. I forget when they changed it. Luckily he's used to the hours due to daycare, just a different routine. My bestie went to back to school night tonight (well, last night), and she got a great report. He's very polite, asks kids for help when he needs it, raises his hand and is eager to learn. I'm so proud of him!

So glad he had some excitement and no tears, though like you said that would've been okay. I hope he gets home later and says it was a great day and he made new friends!

Ah, that first day of school. I think that may be why kids start so early now (what, three years old in preschool?): to minimize the trauma and separation anxiety.
You have a great day, too...and do something about that alarm clock going off so early.

Maybe. I mean, we babysat him for several years before he started daycare (which was to get him around kids his own age), so I think he'll be okay. :)
Lol, thanks! I usually sleep in a little later than this, but I wanted to be there for his first day, plus I would like to make a habit of starting my work earlier. Early start, hopefully an early finish lol. Enjoy your day!
