It is a hard movie to see. It was a horrible period for the Jewish People.

I think the Pianist is probably the only one of the Holocaust movie I could watch till the end. The Holocaust was very horrible. It was a nightmare. It was a horrible time in for the Jews that lost their family and were put in camps and for those that survived it is something they will never forgot and a part of our history we will never forget either.

That is true. "A Beautiful Life" has a unique, relatively positive approach. Hope you see it as well.

I watched The Pianist, and I agree with you. It is a very good movie, but you have to be in a special mood to be able to watch it knowing that it really happened. And even if it hadnĀ“t happened, it could have happened. Many such things must have been true in WWII and many such things happen every time there is a war. We must not forget that there are wars going on now

I have to postpone it for when I'm in a better mood. It's a great movie but stress-inducing.

Yes it is very good film making. I might continue now as I am feeling better after stuffing food into my mouth for my midnight snack.

Its a great movie depicting the harsh realities of World War 2 in German occupied Poland. The director Roman Polanski himself had been a part of the Jewish concentration camps during WW2 and it was very painful for him to direct and go through it again. Hatred is something that still prevails and is something that needs to really stop.
