We don't agree with homework. The children are gone all day and the time they are home they should be with family, doing something perhaps the parents choose to do.

In my household, they spend hours doing homework--2-4 hours. I have three a 17yr old, which I don't get involve in, my 12 yr old, who I have to check everything because she really doesn't care as long as it's done, and my 8 yr old, who I have to help with her homework most of the time.
You are right, there is not enought time to spend with the family after dinner, homwork, and shower--not necessarily in that order.

Why shouldn't they have homework? If they are back in school, homework already makes sense.
