Here is the next addition of music trivia tunes which uses a travel term or theme in its title. We will be using some more sea titled tunes. This feature video should get you thinking about the high seas and our trivia songs, which use different modes of water transportation in their song titles. So enjoy the tune, take it away Bobby! Can you name these songs and artists. Here Are Your Clues: 1. Many of this groups early songs were about surfing. The tune mentions many of the California hot spots to surf in the lyrics. Released June 4th 1962, this was the band's first major hit. In the lyrics the band grabs some honeys and loads up the woody with some boards. A woody is a funny looking wood-paneled vehicle popular with surfers. You would think from their early album covers that all of the guys in the band surfed, but only the drummer did. 2. This artist is best known for his music, which often portrays an "island escapism" lifestyle. He has a devoted base of fans known as "Parrotheads". The inspiration for this song was a cold February night, drinking rum and tonics, in a bar owned by former hockey player Derek Sanderson, to warm up from the chill. As the artists sings in the lyrics, "I've got to leave this climate." "I gotta go where it's warm. Bonus: The song is about a sailor who loses his leg in a bizarre rigging accident, and now he's heading by boat to a city in New England to find his wooden leg. The tune was a take on a folk song written by Woody Guthrie. The group is an American Celtic punk band formed in Massachusetts in the 90's.. The song was featured in the Martin Scorsese's film "The Departed." Liner Notes: Honorable Mention- "Come Sail Away"/Styx -This song got the band to the next level as they were always the support act (for Bob Seger, Foghat, Rush, Kiss, Aerosmith, etc.), never the headliner. -The song mentioned coming aboard a starship to sail away to the skies, interestingly it coincided with the Star Wars movie, as the album was released a little over a month after Star Wars hit theaters. So Whodunnit? If your stuck and need additional help just let me know in your response. As always thanks for reading and responding to my music post !!!! Help is on the way! If you took a trip to Africa to see some animals, and grabbed a board to ride waves in the ocean you would have the song title. Here is a clue for # 2 - he wrote a very popular song called "Margaritaville. He also wrote a song about Cheeseburgers. This trivia song is about drinking and sea travel. Any help?

1. Beach Boys - unknown title. 2. No idea. Liner Notes - that second one sounds very familiar, but the tune and title escape me.

@dgobucks226 I'm familiar with Margaritaville, but I'm bad with who sings what. I can't put drinking and sea travel together.

Where’s John Roberts when you need him..... 1. The title gives an implication that they’re hunting surfers, doesn’t it? “Let’s bag a lion, a rhino, and a surfer or two.” Isn’t it sadly ironic that Dennis was the surfer...and he drowned. 2. Love that song...”I’ve gotta fly to St. Somewhere.” Well, Jimmy, that doesn’t work because St. Lawrence Seaway is in a DANG COLD part of America! When it gets really cold I frequently say, “I’ve gotta go where it’s WARM!!!” too. And what’s wrong with using “Sail Away” by Randy Newman instead???? I used “Come Sail Away” on my “songs that make me cringe” list. Not a big fan of Styx (although I did like “Lorelei”).

Enjoyed the comments! Maybe Jimmy should of taken a page from the Boys and went to a hot spot in song # 1, lol. Perhaps Huntington, Malibu, Doheny State Beach, Rincon, Laguna Beach. They also mention Cerro Azul in Peru. Much warmer there . Apologies about Styx. I was influenced by the songs on one of their cassettes I bought years ago. I guess I had "Too Much Time On My Hands." Enjoy your Randy Newman. Hope your not real short in stature
