Luna is a thief. Or not?

This evening, I heard Luna making a lot of noise. I went to check on her and she had a big red ball between her paws. She was trying to grab it between her teeth, but the ball was too big.
I imagine that the ball belongs to the kids next door. Or rather, it belonged to them. I think that Luna thinks that finders are keepers and as they did not come to ask for it, it will be torn apart when they do.
Now, almost at midnight, Luna is galloping all over the garden and playing with the ball. The noise is worse that if burglars were entering
I hope I can go to sleep in spite of her. Wish me luck because I´ll turn off the lights soon.
Sleep tight, dear friends

I think I´ll tell the kids. And depending on how the ball is now, I´ll give it back to them or offer to pay for a new one. They are not expensive, but they will have to buy it.

@LadyDuck I hope these kids don´t need it and can spare it for Luna. They are very nice children and their parents are quite wealthy so an old bitten ball would not be needed.

@marguicha I found two balls in our garden and I also asked the kids if those were their balls. One was in pretty bad shape, because the cat scratched it.

@just4him The neighbor came to ask for the ball. I gave it back and fortunately Luna had not destroyed it.

@allen0187 But she was already tired of the ball. The only thing that continues being interesting is to destroy my garden

That was a great 'catch' - pun is in order here. Do you keep Luna out in the nights as well?

She has her own house. And much better than the bought ones. BTW, the neighbor came to ask for the ball. Luna had not destroyed it.

@allknowing Her house does not have a closed door. She is free to get in or out when she wants to. Her house is at the terrace, near the glass door of my bedroom. She can hear me all she wants.

@marguicha she will make a lot of fun of it for sure. With her age and naughtiness.

I haven´t gone to see it today when I went to take her breakfast. But from yesterday´s fun, I don´t think that there is much left now

We used to have a little dog, and we always said that he believed humans only existed to throw the ball for him. That is all he ever wanted. We'd throw, he'd chase, find and bring it back to us. He'd drop it at our feet and the game would be on again, hour after hour after hour. He'd stop to drink water, and to eat, but if we were outside, that was all he thought we were there for.

Luna has not learned to bring back anything yet. She is very big, but she is not 7 months old.

Maybe she'd sleep as you turn off the lights. Maybe she's not a thief, she just borrowed that red big ball.

She likes to play at night. Luna likes to take naps during the day. Funny!
