The little one is still here. Mostly hiding under our shed. My daughter took out some food and water. Kitten chowed down. I decided it needs a name and while I don't know if it is a boy or girl, I'm giving it a gender neutral name. Bán (pronounced Bawn) which is the Irish word for White. At least that's what my Irish dictionary and the internet says.
Hopefully it continues to do well. If we can catch the kitten we have a large carrier for it to be in until it gets used to humans. Not to mention our other cats.

She (he) must feel at least a little bit safe, as she (he) is still there. Lucky cat, to have someone who cares.

If the kitten was bigger I'd leave it be, but this one is just too small.

It will tame down to the person feeding it first because it knows that persons smell.

I had a feral cat. When she finally came at us she was eaten at night by an owl. She was just a kitten, a female. Even if she was feral, I am sorry for her. I think some cats will never be tamed. She was so afraid to come for food. She was really skinny. I think it was an easy prey for owls. But I can't understand. She was wild and aggressive. How could the owl catch her?
