For me I overcome my shyness. That was a good step for me. They chose me to become president of the PTIO. This was very challenging to me.I am not a public speaker but did the best I can. The board help me to escape the shyness. But mange to muddle along during the school year. Now I still have some. Not as much. What challenges have you overcome. photo is mine

Oh me and you both. I used to be so shy, still am in a way, but my dad pushed me to do stuff he was to shy to do. Then I became a promoted of a band, something I did not want to do but it became easy, so yes I overcame shyness. Another problem is being a woman and running a company in a man`s world. I can say some men do not take orders from woman, at all! Even when I fired them, that was when I did have to have a man step in and tell them I am serious and to go, or go to jail. I am so glad I don`t run that business anymore, roofing company. I have only had one employee buck my authority as a landlady and several tenants. Maybe that is why the new business, sunshine`s homestead creations, has more woman clients, less hassle for me.

My biggest challenge would be rejection, the fear that nobody will like my work.

shyness. Although I can be still shy. I wish I could say fear of dogs. But I can't seem to overcome that. One physical challenge I have overcome is balance issues. I have mild celebral palsy.

I am shy as well. I think that I've overcome some of my shyness over the years. I was able to overcome my fear of elevators just a bit. I mean, I am still not a big fan of them, but many years ago I had to work for a company wherein I was sometimes on an elevator alone. I was able to overcome the fear just a bit because of that. I still think escalators are going to tear my pants in two when I go to step off of them though.

@amadeo I don't fear people either, but I am just slightly intimidated by them in certain situations I guess. Even so, when out with friends, I let them lead conversations. When out with family, I tend to be the one who leads the conversations. It sounds odd, but I suppose it's because sometimes, depending on the family member, they don't pick up on social cues.

@ScribbledAdNauseum I did not have fear but very very shy.The escalators when younger did not bother me. Now older it does.everything bothers when older.LOL

I am always working on my shyness. But I have come to realize that it is a big part of who I am, and I am alright with that. What I do have to work at is not letting people take advantage of me. I can be a door mat very easily because I'm not ready to speak my mind and stand up for myself. I hate that about myself, but I'm a work in progress.

As a runner there are so many things that trying to stop you and just lay down on the road and let the ambulance get you. Like when all of your strength are gone and only your spirit is not giving; your surrounding is turning around and only your feet is moving; when you have nothing left but the determination, I have those challenges in my life like in marathon... and I conquer.
