Music discussions

Why don't music discussions go very well here on Mylot? I was noticing that not many people reply to discussions about bands and music. Most replies are simply "I like music." But there aren't many quality discussions...why?

Actually, that happens with a lot of other topics too because people are trying to answer as many questions as possible.
As for music, possibly because most people are just casual listeners. They don’t listen to an artist’s entire CD, just the popular song on radio. So there isn’t much that people can say about a particular artiste. I’ve tried answering music discussions and I usually include detail because I’m a real fan of certain genres and artistes, but sometimes I don’t even think the person asking the question knows much on the topic.

Yeah, true. Still it is quite disappointing how quickly these types of discussions die. :( But thanks for trying, and thanks for responding to my discussion as well!
