Cutting You Own Hair.

Hello everyone.
My question is, have you tried cutting your own hair?
I wanted to have a hair cut but time is not permitting me. Too much to do in the house and with the kids exam and homework. Plus I have a hard time having my own hair stylist.
I used to have one when I was still single and living in our old house in a different city. I will just tell my stylist what I like and he will do it and I am satisfied. But nowadays, I cannot find that anymore. It seems every time I try a new salon or a new hairstylist, I am unsatisfied.
I am trying to see if I can cut my own hair. 
At leat if I am not satisfied, it is because I am not a professional.

Yes I cut my own hair. But I will ask someone else to trim the ends in back, Tony or my sister. I have always trimmed my own bangs, I cut my sisters hair and my dads growing up. I cut Tony`s now too.

But my daughter prefers me cutting her hair.

I have someone coming over and does a good job. No need for me to cut it myself.

Yes, I did once try when I was in class V.. I tried to have fringes and those fringes freaked out me as I had cut them a lot smaller.. After that, my mom noticed and had beaten me the hell out of me..

@yoalldudes No, the scissors are from my mom. She bought it when we were you and she was working at Singapore. Until now, I used it, still good.

I have done it for years with my long hair. My friend's sister taught me how she puts her head upside down to let the hair hang - and she cuts it straight across. The result is a long layered cut if you like it like that - but I am not picky and was fine with it.
That being said, I tried to do a "new" cut about a month ago. It looked pretty bad, so I finally decided to get a "real" haircut from a "real" salon. I am embarrassed that even she thought it was bad. But now I have a "cool" short cut and I love it - I wouldn't have been able to do this style on my own!

Yes. Hahaha but my hair became shorter because I have to go to a salon to fixed what I did. Not a good idea.

@rakski yes, probably trim your hair gradually so you may not end up having a shorter hair.
