Nevigation Problem

I worked in a concert of Dj Martin from 24 hours ago until 15 hours ago. I told the crowd about the vip enterance and the regular entrance. It all worked well untill the concert ended. We needed to get back to the bus to take us home. Most of the guards worked together so they went to the bus. Me and another guard had to go to the bus, we didn't know where to go. One noob guard texted me that the bus was at the left corner...how could it help me if we didn't know about each other's location and direction? Nevigation is not my best skill. Everyone who looks at a rectangle can see at least 1 corner to the left and one on the right. Most of the times there are 2 corners on each side if the viewer is not on one of the corners. One corner is close and the other is far. Both on the left or on the right side. Any tip from you, mylotters, about how to give directions to a friend about how to get to the desired location?

I think you need a reference point as in 'You know where the big tower is? It's x metres to the left/right/whatever of that'. Then you have a chance of finding what you want.

I think we will need at least 2 major buildings or 2 structures we can relate to. The first is the start point, the second can give the direction of hour 12. The direction from the first structure to the second structure is 12 o'clock. We have to agree about the structures first.

I found the bus, yes. The bus waited for me and for some others that were late. There were some others who knew the way and showed me. It would be better if they told me the direction related to the moon. For example, the parking lot was behind the area and the area was behind the moon. If I knew that, I would know the direction to go.
