Only Two Important Things After I'm Older

September 11, 2018 11:58am CST
As I grow older, there have been only two that are of greater importance to me. Nothing else matter. Nothing else are too important to me but these two valuable things--to function. Nothing else are as significant as the only two possible things I have left in my bones and strength. After I'm older, two things are certainly more important than any others: Health and money. I wish you all well, security and prosperity. :-)

Yes! My husband keeps saying that he wants to retire (63). I'm 56, and am just beginning with my life this year in the work-force, after 31 happy years as housewife.

@BabeSays Thank you. And we shall receive your wishes for us. :-) He enjoys his job as IT and is brilliant at what he does. About money, we're working on saving and being debt-free for our retirement... many, many more fulfilling years ahead. :-)

@everwonderwhy I kind of feel of like an old dish rag that has been washed many times but looking for a good bleaching still.

@Namelesss Dish rags are very useful. I can't function well in my kitchen to serve nice meals without my dishrags. :-) I do hope you find the constant washing and wringing-out-the-scum-and-dirt feelings will find you good as new again. But still, lotsa hugs to you. Don't let anybody discourage you by any means.

It's a struggle to be unwell in every aspect of our whole being. How are you doing? Hugs and thoughts for you.

It's important because when we're older, things are totally different. Those energy and enthusiasm we have during our younger years would fade. It's just disheartening when reaching that time, we do not have enough resources to survive with the remaining years of our lives. By that time also, we already have several health issues which would make us difficult to function by ourselves only more so if we do not have enough savings and money.

It's not too late to save up now in my 50s for my retirement. I would still be working for income in any way possible.

You are a very smart man. I agree with you. It has always been that for me. Well, the money to a limit. I have never had much but it is a necessity.

Humm what could be more important. I think my happiness before anything. I could give money for my happiness, i could give my kidney for my loved ones..
